WWE still considers RAW the "A" show, and I hope the poor ratings of late signal someone that it's time for some changes. I think fans are clearly unhappy with the same crap week after week. I don't think I've heard one single person say that Adamle's doing a good job. J.R.'s departure has hurt. Cole just isn't in the same league. With the exception maybe of the Jericho/HBK feud, they're not giving feuds time to build properly. That's why I fear the Regal/Noble/Layla angle may end up botched -- or worse -- dropped with no resolution. I believe that Michaels and Jericho are pretty much taking over the creative side of their feud and since that is the best thing about Raw right now, it says a lot about the RAW creative team. I sincerely hope they run with the Regal/Noble/Layla story. After it has run its course, he should be back feuding with the top guys. This week's rating should be a wake up call.

Adamle is the proverbial square peg being stuffed into a round hole. The WWE just isn't for him. He needs to be reading sports on the 6:00 news somewhere.
I personally think part of the problem is the whole PG rating they're trying to achieve. I get that they want kids to watch. I get that kids who watch wrestling grow up to be adults who watch wrestling, and that's building the WWE's future. But wrestling is a sport -- excuse me, sports entertainment-- that shouldn't be sanitized. It's supposed to be gritty, raw, and sexy. It's supposed to have some degree of blood and violence.
A PG rating means no more bra & pantie matches, no more Superstars & Divas making out. Instead we get Cena & James making small talk by the food services table. No blood in the matches (unless it's by accident) .... I mean, there's more blood & violence now in the videogames kids are playing.
OK, I don't have kids, so this is all easy for me to say. But frankly, it's boring..

In William Regal's bio he said that if you don't want your kids to see something they don't approve on on wrestling, don't let them watch it.
Good advice, I think. If you don't want to watch something offensive watch Everybody Loves Raymond. Keep self righteous morals out of wrestling!

You guys are absolutely right. If something is offensive to you, then change the channel.

But frankly, it's boring.. I think them with the whole PG thing is a problem, but they can make RAW more of the adult themed show, while Smackdown can be a little less risky, since it is on network TV. Even if they don't do that approach, plenty of people would still bring there kids to the events, even during the attitude era. I agree with Lindsay that wrestling is supposed to be more gritty, violent, and sexy. The fact that they are sanitizing it is not good.
