Mon, Jan 12 WWE Monday Night Raw/ECW Presented By 12 Rounds - Sioux City, IA 6:30 p.m. Regal defends the IC title against CM Punk. DQ counts tonight, so Regal's got to make it clean if he wants to retain. Let's hope for the best.

I think I will be able to catch it tonight. My last tutoring appointment ends at 6pm and I'll make it back home by 6:20pm. Hopefully, it won't be the very first match.

I wonder how this will play out. Even if he loses the belt, it could still make for an interesting feud.

Regal retains the belt Punk got a DQ, so Regal won. While I'm happy that he still has the belt, that was a pretty crappy ending. A DQ two weeks in a row? Creative can do better than that.

I just missed the damn match I saw where he did the backstage segment, though.

So Stephanie has ordered Regal to defend against Punk next week in a no DQ match. That's good, but unfortunately, Raw is in Chicago next week -- Punk's hometown. I think we'll see Regal drop the belt. Thanks for the youtube clips! I need them to get caps. It makes sense for Punk to win in Chicago, since it's his hometown... but, having Regal win could also give him more heat, like he had when he was GM. Especially if he cheats to win.

Thanks for posting, Linds. What was the deal with deal with him grabbing Layla like that? Was that sort of an S&M thing, because it looked like she smiled a bit? Even if he does drop it, I think they will still feud.

LOL ;D
Lawler kept talking about Regal's "sadistic" nature. I guess that's part of the angle they're taking.
I love how Layla tries to keep up with Regal when they're walking LOL. I have the same problem with my husband. I have to take 3 steps for his every one ;D
Anyone else notice that Cole called Punk "Jericho" at one point?

I noticed that too Lindsay. I think King said something about it, like "You've got Jericho on your mind".
I think that Layla is supposed to be perceived as someone who likes men with power, and like when Regal "dominates" in the ring.

I have a tendency to walk fast myself. It is funny seeing Layla try to catch up with him though.
I think I brought it up last week, but I think the chemistry between Regal and Layla has gotten better. At first, they were kind of awkward, but not so much anymore.
Michael Cole did say Jericho a lot. I think he needs a vacation.
