My husband gave me William Regal for our anniversary ;D LOL!
He's so sweet ... he bought me the Regal Deluxe Aggression action figure LOL! (That wasn't the only gift, but I thought it was pretty funny!)
It's pretty cool actually ... even has his tattoos!

Definetly! Hey Lindsay, do you have to bid on that shoot interview? If it's an auction type of thing I won't post it on the main page, so more people won't bid on it and we can make sure you get it!

No, I went ahead and ordered the DVD off the other web site. The price was about the same with no waiting. Post away

I think that auction has ended now. I'm still waiting on the copy I ordered from the e-store to arrive. I'll let you know when it does.

The DVD arrived today. It's definitely a bootleg, and the video and audio quality isn't great. It's literally Regal sitting down with two guys on a sofa talking wrestling in 1999. (Kind of Wayne's World-ish LOL) The majority of the interview focuses on how he got into wrestling and how he came to America. Pretty much stuff from his book. He touches on his stint in rehab but doesn't get into details -- again, pretty much from the book. New information: --He hated working with Great Muta in Japan (actually I kind of sort of remember reading that somewhere). He says Muta acted like Regal was beneath him as a wrestler. --He hates Internet gossip. He makes a good point that most people don't realize how damaging that can be. He talks about people posting things about him while he was in rehab and children teasing his kids at school. He said his relatives in England will read something and tell his parents and upset them. Valid points and well worth remembering (although I think we do a great job of staying away from personal issues on this forum). --He says most people don't understand wrestling and don't understand that when a wrestler jobs, it's because he's been told to do it as part of his employment -- it's not necessarily a bad thing. Again, not a great quality DVD, but for Regal fans, it's worth a watch. Here's the store link again if anyone is interested: www.wrestlingepicenter.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=197

Valid points and well worth remembering (although I think we do a great job of staying away from personal issues on this forum). Thanks for the info Lindsay! You're right; it's something we need to keep in mind. We all try really hard to keep his character and his personal life seperate, and I agree in that we do a great job out of that. I think the only thing on this site he would find remotely embarrasing would be that everyone thinks he is good looking (even though of course it's meant as a compliment, I am sure everyone knows he is married). It's also a reason I keep this board members-only; I would hate for some gossiper to come on here and misconstrue our posts, and if they do I can find out who they are really quickly and ban them. I also point out in the rules that we only discuss William Regal here, not Darren Matthews, and I have to say that everyone on here follows that rule (and all the others ones) perfectly. I'm really happy with the forum and all the members here. When he was suspended, we never discussed it here, except to say that it sucked and we would be happy when he came back. I think we're a lot more integral than other wrestler's fansites; the gist of what I see on them is "OMFG RaNdY I LUV U!!!!" or "CEna Sux!!!!". The reason I created this site was because I really like William Regal, there was no other fansite dedicated to him, and I felt he deserved one. I think he's vastly underrated, and I hope that this site helps him gain more fans. All in all, if he or anyone else he knew came across this site I would hope that they wouldn't be embarressed or disgusted.

Great point, Ashton.
It is really mind boggling the stuff that gets printed on these websites about the wrestlers. Its worse than office gossip because everyone besides your coworkers is spreading the rumors and all someone has to do is type in the name and find just about anything.
Regal absolutely deserved a fansite. He is a fantastic wrestler and supremely underrated and underutilized in the WWE. I've always thought he was a great wrestler, but I like him even more now because he is definitely become more of a badass, less comedic. He should have had a least one world title run by now or being in the middle of one right now. The politics of the WWE is complete bullshit.
I would like to think that he wouldn't be embarrased about us thinking that he was good-looking; if he hasn't heard it before I would be shocked. We all know he is happily married anyway(Thank goodness someone still is!).
I've been to fansites dedicated to John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, and The Hardys and they all are like pink with hearts and they just make me gag. Sites like "Cena's Ladies" are just dumb. I'm so glad to be a member at this site because we have intelligent posts not just about Regal, but about other wrestling related things and non-wrestling topics.

We all know he is happily married anyway(Thank goodness someone still is!). I'd like to think the same. The only reason I thought it would be potentially embarrasing is because some people get embarrassed when they're told they are good-looking. Some people are just shy about things like that. Hopefully he just takes it all as a compliment. It's not like we're posting pics of him with hearts drawn all over them!

Bingo!
Let's face it -- part of the politics is popularity. If you have a big fan base, you get noticed by management, you get a bigger push, etc.

From the interviews I've seen of him, he seems to be quite soft-spoken and on the quiet side, but very polite.
