I think the person that answered the question is an idiot. There's so many things wrong with it, I don't even know where to begin.
I don't know about a move; does anybody even watch ECW? But I'd much prefer it over him being cut.

I'm definitely with you on that, Ashton.
I believe that this person needs to see JBL on television and he will know what a stale act is. He'll also know that by watching John Cena, Kane, Triple H and the Undertaker.
I would probably prefer an ECW move over him being cut myself. I think I may not even watch RAW as much.

Undoubtedly, Regal could teach the guys on ECW a few things, much as Finlay already does. (and a Finlay/Regal feud would be worth watching.)
I disagree that Regal's act is worn at this point though. I don't think WWE is using him properly -- that's the problem. Regal plays the part he's told to play, and if that sucks, then there is only so much he can do. Oscar-winning performers suck when they're given bad parts to play.
Think back to his final days as GM. Regal drew massive heel heat from audiences. Think about the last televised match with Punk-- it unanimously drew praise as the best match of the week. Regal still has it in him. If going to ECW would give him a better shot at a good part, then I would be for it. He's drowning in the testosterone on Raw.

This just goes to show that Vince wants to push these no talent, jacked up guys who can't wrestle worth a crap. Obviously, the idiot that answered this question is in that same league.
